E si arriva all’ultima parte, nel tentativo di riprendere un percorso, infatti, il poeta ritrova un legame con «il» padre in “Coltiverò in assenza il seme”: Le sparse radici, restano/ e mi è lieto il vivere accanto ad una terra/ che non m’implora solo acqua, ma inverni/ meno pietosi al gemmare dei rami. Questo legame acquista più spessore poi in “Ancora gennaio”: Padre è passato troppo tempo/ tornerò presto a rinnovare i fiori.
Centrale a questo punto è la poesia “L’esilio ha inizio dalle stelle”, in cui si evidenzia in tutta la sua tragicità la fragilità umana, divenuta paradigma dell’esistere, riflesso della mancanza di appartenenza, di un posto nel quale dimenticare il proprio isolamento, la certezza di non esser-ci; volontario o incompreso isolamento, un percorso che l’ha portato altrove, ma un «altrove» senza identità: Siamo solo particelle di vapore nel respiro del capodoglio/ formiche d’inverno nell’ondeggiare dell’erba smeraldo/ distese prossime a fiori e rovi/ che il gelo spezza a metà del gambo.
